Haluwa Chinese Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Haluwa Chinese Restaurant feels like entering a warmly familiar gathering spot where the rhythm of good company and laughter sets the tone. Nestled on Gusabel Avenue in Nashua, this place carries a comfortable buzz—a blend of steady conversation, occasional laughter, and the soft clink of glasses—that speaks to its role as a beloved local retreat. There’s a steady, welcoming pace here, neither rushed nor languid, inviting guests to settle in without hurry and savor the moments around them.
The atmosphere hums with genuine warmth. It’s clear this is more than just a dinner stop; it’s a place where people come to reconnect, unwind, and feel at ease. Friendly faces greet you from behind the bar and at the door, setting the tone for attentive care that carries through to every table. A professional doorman keeps things smoothly welcoming, adding a touch of comfort and familiarity to the arrival and departure alike.
Food at Haluwa weaves into this unfolding experience effortlessly. The rich aromas and vibrant flavors of their dishes—the kind that make you want to linger over a plate of perfectly sauced beef lo mein or delight in the crisp, savory punch of crab Rangoon—underscore the restaurant’s unpretentious charms. Drinks here are crafted with care, whether it’s a refreshing mimosa or something shared from a Scorpion Bowl, encouraging moments to be savored together rather than rushed through.
What truly stands out is how the service feels personal and attuned, a reflection of owners and staff who seem genuinely invested in the place and the people they welcome through the door. Regulars and newcomers alike find themselves swept into a quietly joyful experience, where attentive bartenders, familiar servers, and even some special touches for the four-legged guests make it clear that Haluwa is a valued corner of the community.
Whether you’re sliding into a booth for a casual weekday meal or making a night of it with friends dancing to a local band’s set, Haluwa’s heartbeat is low and steady—steady enough to hold space for all kinds of evenings, yet lively enough to make each one feel like an occasion.

So much fun to go dancing to great bands! All the servers are absolutely wonderful! The bartenders too! We love getting the pu pu platter for two. They also have the best drinks around! They are great at taking care of people also, getting cabs etc. My favorite is they have a professional door man who keeps an eye on everyone! I feel safe!

This restaurant really is a hidden jewel. We had last dined here several years ago, when we lived in the area...and we decided to come back to give it a try...we were so glad we did! The food was excellent. The hostesses was engaging and accommodating, and the wait staff was very attentive. The food was awesome! We also enjoyed a Scorpian Bowl between the two of us and were really so pleased - it was delicious! The decor is a little dated but don't let that discourage you. The prices, the staff and the quality of food make this a real hidden gem - and certainly worth a visit!

David and Jason, the owners, are very friendly and Jason is a great bartender even though Courtney is the most beautiful bartender they ever had and still do! Sam is a fantastic hard working waitress and ALWAYS remembers to bring BEAST a little bowl of water!! Incredible crab Rangoon and beef lo mein! My dear friend/actor Arthur Wahlberg has a blast whenever I take him there on a Saturday night(older brother of Mark and Donnie Wahlberg)... remember the New Kids on the Block??One of the first Boy Bands .....
